Framing

Original Artwork

Artworks on clayboard or scratchboard need not be framed under glass.

Clayboard has definitely become my surface of choice for watercolors. Colors on this surface remain vibrant and brilliant which is not sacrificed by framing under glass.  I seal the watercolor and scratchboard pieces with a fixative and varnish.  Thus, the need for glass is eliminated, creating a more intimate connection between the artwork and the viewer.

Most of my work is on standard size panels and fit into most pre-made and sectional frames.

Giclees

Archival-quality giclee reproductions are handmade by the artist from an original painting or scratchboard by the artist.  They are printed with pigment-based inks on archival paper or canvas for extended longevity.  Frame it under glass and do not display it in direct or very bright sunlight.  Keep moisture from the surface.
